Today, we’re wishing a happy St George’s Day to everyone who celebrates it.
St George is known as the patron saint of England and many other countries. He is remembered not just for his Christian links, but for the values he represents. Although the story of the dragon is seen as a legend, St George is admired for his courage and his determination to stand by what he believed in, even when it was difficult.
These ideas connect closely with the values we work to develop here at XP Gateshead: Respect, Courage, Integrity, Craftsmanship and Quality, and, above all, Compassion.
Today is a good chance to pause and recognise the everyday acts of bravery, kindness and integrity we see around us.
