As you are no doubt aware, England has successfully progressed to the next round in the 2026 World Cup! Their upcoming knockout match is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 AM on Monday 6th July
We recognise that many of our students will be wanting to stay up late to watch the match and I have been approached by lots of parents to ask for my views around attendance on the morning of the 6th July in order to support the national team. To ensure our community can support this —and get some much-needed sleep afterward—the school will be operating a permitted later registration on Monday, 6th July.
Please note the following key arrangements for Monday morning:
- Flexible Arrival: Students may arrive later than usual, but must be in school by 10:30 AM at the latest to receive their morning registration mark.
- Normal School Operations: School will be open at the usual time (8am) for any students who wish to arrive at the normal start of the day. Lessons will take place for all students who are on-site.
- Attendance and Lateness: Any student who arrives after 10:30 AM will be marked as an unauthorised absence for the morning session.
