Today, we wish a happy St George’s Day to all who acknowledge and celebrate it.
St George, remembered as the patron saint of England and many other countries, is celebrated not only for his links to Christianity but also for the values he represents. Though his legendary tale of slaying a dragon is widely regarded as a myth, St George is honoured for his courage and steadfastness in standing up for his beliefs, even in the face of persecution.
