This week, our school will be acknowledging Refugee Week 2025, a time to reflect on the experiences of displaced people around the world and explore how we can show compassion, understanding, and solidarity.
As part of this year’s theme, we will be taking part in the ‘Share a Film’ initiative. Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to watch a series of carefully selected short films, provided by Refugee Week UK, during Crew time.
‘These films open windows into lives and experiences many of us may never encounter directly. They help us understand the challenges faced by refugees and introduce us to voices and stories that are often unheard.’
Through powerful journeys of survival and the inspiring work of individuals who are making a difference, these films invite us to see the world differently, reflect on our own values, and consider how we might act with greater empathy in our daily lives.
We hope that by sharing these stories, we not only raise awareness but also encourage meaningful conversations and positive action within our school community.
