XPG Transition 2022-23 for current Year 6 students
We are delighted to welcome our 50 new students and their families to our community at XP Gateshead. Welcome to our Crew!
We have a full programme of transition planned with the purpose of
- Getting to know our new students and their families
- Giving students the opportunity to feel more confident about their new school and the transition from primary to secondary school
- Informing families about our ethos and expectations
- Preparing students and their families for their Ullswater Outward Bound experience at the start of the new academic year
The transition programme will start in May and run until the end of the Summer. We will be publishing a detailed schedule in the next couple of weeks.
Our programme will include the following:
- An individual online family meeting with an experienced member of staff
- Primary school visits
- Two face to face transition days at XP Gateshead
- Information evening for parents
- Opportunity for an Informal telephone conversation with your child’s new Crew Leader
We are really looking forward to meeting our new ‘Class of G29’ students and getting to know our new families.
